Jack White Launches ‘Third Man Novelties Lounge,’ Ends Communism. A genius music video announcing the addition to Third Man Record’s store in Nashville TN. “Mr. White, tear down this wall!”

And seriously the video jukebox? The MOLD-A-RAMA?! I am taking a trip JUST to go hang out at the shop as if it were an amusement park and pick me up some OFFICIAL TMR GOLD TOKENS (no joke).

I think if it were not already apparent, the expansion makes this officially the coolest record store around. Employees must be pretty stoked, I know we are.

Two years ago, we were able to enjoy Beck’s Record Club. I am sure most of you know what it was about, but if you don’t, let me explain to you one of many amazing ideas Beck had: a musical project which consisted in teaming up with his favourite musicians to cover complete records in just one day at his studio.

I am showing you the first song covered in Record Club Number 4: Guns In The Sky, a cover of the album Kick by INXS. In this edition, the musicians joining Beck were: Liars, St. Vincent with Daniel Hart (who played the violin for St. Vincent) Sergio Días (from Os Mutantes) and Brian LeBarton

Today, Beck announced his new single, “I Just Started Hating Some People Today”, to be released via Jack White’s Third Man Records on May 28th. You can listen to previews of the new songs here

Lollapalooza 2012

Lollapalooza 2012

Over the holiday weekend this pretty convincing Lollapalooza internal memo leaked hit the internet. While certainly exciting––supposed headliners include Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, Black Sabbath, and Jack White––this leaked list is purely speculation. The official lineup will arrive on Wednesday, but that doesn’t mean we can’t daydream.” - Pretty Much Amazing

Again- The official lineup will be announced Wednesday, so hold tight.

Suggestion from the Sky:

Yesterday it was announced that Jack White, after almost a year The White Stripes broke up, is going to release his first solo album on April 23, “Blunderbuss”.
Am I exited for this? Yes I am! Especially after listening to his delicate and sweet first single, “Love Interruption”
