Jack White Launches ‘Third Man Novelties Lounge,’ Ends Communism. A genius music video announcing the addition to Third Man Record’s store in Nashville TN. “Mr. White, tear down this wall!”
And seriously the video jukebox? The MOLD-A-RAMA?! I am taking a trip JUST to go hang out at the shop as if it were an amusement park and pick me up some OFFICIAL TMR GOLD TOKENS (no joke).
I think if it were not already apparent, the expansion makes this officially the coolest record store around. Employees must be pretty stoked, I know we are.
Listen to, In The Cold, Cold Night, the new cover track by Tracey Thorn (Everything but the Girl) taken from her upcoming album, Tinsel and Lights, to be out on October 30th. The song, which was written by Jack White and performed by The White Stripes on their album Elephant, it is one of the few songs featuring Meg White in vocals.
Jack White never stops surprising us: last weekend he played a live show at the Outside Lands 2012 in San Francisco with his all-female band in the woods!
More of the set will be uploaded soon, but you can already watch the performances of the songs Love Interruption (above), Hotel Yorba, of his former band The White Stripes and Broken Boy Soldiers, by his side-project, The Raconteurs.

As we promised you last week, here’s the new music video of Jack White’s single Freedom At 21, off his album Blunderbuss.
The video, which was by Hype Williams, features Jack White being arrested after a strange car incident and an even stranger prison.
Watch it until the end to discover a cameo from Josh Homme!
Watch the trailer of Jack White’s forthcoming music video for the song Freedom at 21, from his wonderful record Blunderbuss. It was directed by Hype Williams, who has previously worked with Kanye West and Coldplay. You will be able to see the full video this Monday July 16th, but in case you forget, we will remind you to watch it at Blue Sky + Hard Rock!
Two years ago, we were able to enjoy Beck’s Record Club. I am sure most of you know what it was about, but if you don’t, let me explain to you one of many amazing ideas Beck had: a musical project which consisted in teaming up with his favourite musicians to cover complete records in just one day at his studio.
I am showing you the first song covered in Record Club Number 4: Guns In The Sky, a cover of the album Kick by INXS. In this edition, the musicians joining Beck were: Liars, St. Vincent with Daniel Hart (who played the violin for St. Vincent) Sergio Días (from Os Mutantes) and Brian LeBarton.

“Over the holiday weekend this pretty convincing Lollapalooza internal memo leaked hit the internet. While certainly exciting––supposed headliners include Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, Black Sabbath, and Jack White––this leaked list is purely speculation. The official lineup will arrive on Wednesday, but that doesn’t mean we can’t daydream.” - Pretty Much Amazing
Again- The official lineup will be announced Wednesday, so hold tight.
