Possibly one of my favorite covers ever, I actually listen to Taken by Trees “My Boys” more than the original (“My Girls” by Animal Collective).

After months of listening to Taken by Trees do this song, I went back to play Animal Collective’s track.

Only then did I realize how unique this cover truly was- to hear in your head a lovely acoustic melody strumming somewhere in the original, I feel would be puzzling if not just plain unlikely for most; but Taken by Trees heard just that and manifested the sound into this fantastic cover. 

They definitely made this song their own which is always fun to listen to and to look at the transformation.
